The architectural complex of the Old Town has survived all the cataclysms of the past and has maintained its unchanged layout since the Middle Ages. It is crowded and crowded all year round. This place is teeming with life at any time of the day. There are crowds of tourists, tireless florists, street painters and musicians, and a row of cabs waiting for guests. A horse carriage ride through night Krakow was described in a poem by K. I. Gałczyński. The Main Market Square is one of the largest squares in Europe, it was created during the location of the city under Magdeburg Law in 1257. It has a square shape measuring 200 mx 200 m. There is a town hall tower, three churches, the Cloth Hall, tenement houses and the Adam Mickiewicz monument. You can listen to the bugle call from St. Mary's Tower every hour. There are plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs and clubs located in nearby tenement houses. The most famous places are min. "Wierzynek" restaurant, "Pod Jaszczurami" club and basements of "Pałac pod Baranami". Numerous cultural events, concerts and exhibitions take place here. One of the symbols of Krakow is the Krakow bagel, which can be bought in small street booths. Kraków bagels are offered in a whole range of flavors: with poppy seeds, sesame, salt or other sprinkles. Also, the symbolic Kraków pigeons did not come out of nowhere. According to legend Henry IV Probus, who tried to take over the senioral district, at the time of the division he intended to go to Rome with a financial offering asking for coronation. A sorceress turned his knights into pigeons, and they pecked pebbles from the walls of St. Mary's Church, which turned into gold. With this estate, the prince set off to the Vatican, but on the way he lost everything and did not reach the pope. Despite the sovereign's return to Krakow, his knights did not regain human form.
