Tarnów Castle, the residence of the owners of Tarnów and the administrative center of the Tarnów estate. Its ruins are located on a slope (303 m a.s.l.) Martin. Built in the years 1328–1331 by Spicymir of the Leliwa coat of arms, the Kraków castellan on a hill divided into two parts by a ditch in a distance of about 2 kilometers from the city of Tarnów located in 1330. The human skeletons found under the ruins indicate that originally the first Tarnów church could stand in this place. On the lower part of the hill there was a small farm - economic and administrative facilities (seat of the burgrave or staroste), and on the higher part a high castle, i.e. a fortified residence. Both parts were surrounded by a separate wall. In total, they had about 2000 sq m.
