Address: ul. Nadwiślańska 2-4 , 30-527 Kraków
A cultural institution founded in 1981. On September 12, 2014, the new headquarters of Cricoteka was opened at Nadwiślańska 2-4, in the building of the former piedmont power plant. For many years it fulfilled a dual function of the Cricot 2 Theater center and theater archive. In the basement of the archive at ul. Kanonicza 5 rehearsals were held, and a gallery was operating. Currently, after the death of Tadeusz Kantor, the most important tasks of "Cricoteka" include museum and educational activities: dissemination of the artist's work, both in the field of theater and visual arts. This is done thanks to the large-scale organization of scientific sessions as well as exhibition activities. Exhibitions take place in "Cricoteka" and in Galeria Krzysztofory, they are also organized in many galleries and museums in Poland and abroad.
